We have structured the club to keep grassroots football as accessible as possible.Your regular monthly subscriptions (£25/month) cover all the essentials required to keep our players on the pitch throughout the year, including:FA player registrations and league entry fees.Full insurance coverage for players during training and matchdays.Hire costs for winter training facilities and matchday pitches.All essential training equipment (balls, bibs, cones, and first aid kits).Referees' fees for all home fixtures.(Note: The matchday kit is purchased separately via the online club shop).

Ordering your official Sturry Kings FC gear is quick and simple through our dedicated online club shop:Subsidised Ordering Window: To get the kit at the club's subsidised price, you must place your order before the deadline on 31st July 2026. Orders placed after this date will go through our standard online shop.

Absolutely! We highly encourage new players to come along and experience a free trial session before making any formal commitment to the club. It’s the perfect, pressure-free way to meet the coaches, mix with the team, and see if they enjoy the environment.

Managing Ratios & Waiting Lists: To ensure player safety and maintain strict FA coach-to-child ratios, some of our squads may operate on a temporary waiting list. Our Club Secretary will let you know current availability immediately upon booking your trial.

Yes. Sturry Kings FC runs a Kit Exchange to help families reduce the cost of grassroots football. Parents can enquire about reused football boots, shirts, shorts, socks, training tops, hoodies, shin pads, goalkeeper gloves and other football essentials. Stock changes regularly, so we cannot guarantee every size or item, but where suitable kit is available, we will always try to help keep children playing football. The Kit Exchange is a simple way for families to donate, request and rehome grassroots football kit. Parents can donate clean, good-quality boots, kit or training wear through the club, and other families can enquire about items they may need. Our volunteers sort items by type and size, then help rehome them where possible with Sturry Kings players or local community teams. How do I sign my child up for the upcoming 2026/2027 grassroots football season?

We make joining Sturry Kings FC as straightforward as possible. If your child is ready to hit the pitch for the 2026/2027 season, just follow these three quick steps to get them registered:Step 1: Submit a New Player Request Head over to our dedicated portal at www.sturrykings.co.uk/join-sturry-kings-fc and drop in a request directly to our club secretary.
Step 2: Create an FA FAN Number Every grassroots player requires an official Football Association FAN number for league registration. If your child doesn't have one yet, you can quickly register them as a parent at www.TheFA.com/account/signup.
Step 3: Finalise with the Secretary Once our club secretary has your details and FA FAN number, she will guide you through completing the league registration and setting up your monthly subscription via Direct Debit (£25/month, with no upfront sign-up fee for the 26/27 season).
What happens next? Once registered, your team manager will add you to the team WhatsApp group for general day-to-day chat, and you’ll receive an invite to SPOND, the official app we use to manage all matchday selections, timings, and fixture details.(Note: Matchdays and training details will be confirmed directly by your team coach before the season starts).
